TNK has been featured in a online men's magazine called Toro Magazine of which we have a close connection with. TNK Co-owner Jesse Skinner (Discount Film School: a collection of well curated books, film, and vinyl records) is a long time contributor and full time staff writer. Oddly enough we got our wares featured NOT because of this connection but because the wonderful stylist Desire Kaniki had the chance to style their latest Toro Woman shoot. It's such a small world! Desire came to us looking for great vintage with a red theme. We couldn't be happier with the shots and it was great to have our wares featured on the beautiful and multi-talented singer songwriter Lindi Ortega. Check out the rest of the shots here. Also check out the video set a long side the shoot telling you a little about Lindi here, and her interview with TNK co-owner/multitasker Jesse Skinner. Special thanks goes to Desire and the photographer May Truong and all those who worked on the shoot.

We at TNK have had the joy of working with some of the greatest photographers. Rachelle Simoneau & Ally Cervantes particularly. Who have always provided such amazing shots to feature TNK product. Rachelle came back briefly to Toronto since she is now building her portfolio in the United Kingdom. Even due to her packed schedule she still went out of her way to shoot with TNK. We sat down and had a photo shoot within the confines of Tomorrow Never Knows, and took advantage of all the natural light coming through the big window over looking Bloor. Or main focus was on the great accessories we have available in the shop, including Abegail Barrios & Dolorous seen featured in the photos above. Using very simple statement pieces clothing wise from the store. We also had oppourtunity to work with Christina Spina Makeup & Props, yet again for another of my shoots who has always provided the best possible hair/makeup styling available. It was also wonderful to work with such a stunning model by the name of Olga who we think physically embodies the true nature of our store. Something feminine, fashion forward, and natural. Thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work!

I spent the weekend in lovely Wilberforce, Ontario with my boyfriend and his family. Must say, it was a well needed rest and mini-vacation period. The very lovely and talented Nicole Varney of Spontaneous Reality has been traveling the globe lately, and sent me this brand new package of goodies from the U.K. I believe she's currently taking a break in India right about now and probably sourcing new materials for her wonderful wares. Which seems like such a perfect excuse to avoid Toronto weather right about now. Her new pieces are fantastic, and remind me a lot of humid summer months. Also new are the half turbans (shimmery leopard print) and fantastic multicolored full turbans. New Big Tinsel

Another new shipment has arrived from Big Tinsel. Such as the Viola necklace. Perfect for spring, no matter how hard it is to see spring in Toronto these days.

The viola necklace is a combination of violet, turquoise and gold. This necklace is composed of a rough amethyst crystal and small turquoise wood beads hanging from an 18kt gold plated chain (nickel-free). Total length is approximately 19".

This is a brand new OOAK coral piece. We thought it would be ideal for upcoming Valentines Day. The color coordination is perfect. As with most Big Tinsel pieces, they are truly unique with a added touch of simplicity.

Also a new line of rings will be added to the shop soon, but to start things off we have a simple shield ring. It is adjustable as well so you don't have to worry about sizing.
